Cuisine: Pancakes, Breakfast
Location: Sydney CBD
First morning in Sydney, I was off to a tour to the Sydney Opera House. But first stop was breakfast at Pancakes on The Rocks. This is located at The Rocks, at the upper end of the CBD at the foot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The architecture and surrounding buildings have an interesting feel and this place is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy CBD. The place is located on two levels within what looks like an old wooden building, but upon entering there are wide open spaces and red booths to choose from with an interesting theme running throughout the place. There’s a great selection of pancakes on the menu but they also serve mains, and unusually, you can order what you want from the menu at anytime of the day. After being overwhelmed as to what to choose because they all look so good, I went with the Devil’s Delight which are two fluffy chocolate pancakes with loads of halved strawberries, cream, chocolate ice cream and to top it all off, hot chocolate sauce. This is to die for! Absolutely yum!
Verdict: What didn’t you understand about absolutely yum!
Recommendation: Highly Recommend
