Another venue chosen by me for our team lunch. Fuche is one of a few places to go for tapas. We decided to settle on the 12 tapas for about $120 I think. Enjoying a variety of mini dishes amongst good company was very enjoyable. Some dishes were not that great, others were reasonable and there were a few wows. We also had dessert too. I decided to try deep fried snickers bar with ice cream. I’d heard of this first done in the UK and I thought how disgusting at the time. Confronted with the choice, I decided to give it a go and see what it’s like. My health conscious work mates reminded me once the dish was served how many calories and personal training sessions they would need to go on to burn this off. Such a thought never entered my head and never does. It’s all about the taste. As if they could guilt me – please! It was an interesting meal, gooey warm chocolate coated in a lovely batter and with vanilla ice cream to top things off. One of my team members commented that he enjoyed his desert (which was different to mine) more because it actually took preparation. I agree on reflection – simply dipping a chocolate bar in batter and deep frying is much simpler than making a cake for example. I enjoyed my desert but wouldn’t try it again for the reason of appreciating a real desert. My other team members ordered different deserts which were just as delicious.
Verdict: A pretty good lunch experience which was topped off with some really good desserts.
Value: Good, a bit pricey but amongst many people it works out well especially given the variety
Recommendation: Worth Visiting Again
