Cuisine: Indian
Location: East Victoria Park
My parents had told me about this place that they had previously eaten at and took me out for lunch. I didn’t go for the ala carte but had the thali for lunch. Bring along an appetite because there’s quite a bit to polish off in the $17 meal. Thalis are a selection of mini meals served in their own metal containers upon a platter (2 meat curries, 2 vegetable dishes, raitha (yoghurt), dessert, rice and pappadams or naan (bread). I really enjoyed the flavours of each offering on my plate. It’s one of the best Indian places I’ve eaten for some time and good value too. I’d rate this thali better tasting and better value than that served at Nine Mary’s.
Verdict: Excellent variety of what Indian cuisine has to offer in a thali. You won’t walk away hungry.
