Ciao Italia

Cuisine: Italian, pizza
Location: South Perth

I have a more recent food review of Ciao Italia here.

I’d gone out to dinner with a friend and we went to Ciao Italia on Mill Point Rd in South Perth. This place had an interesting feel and vibe to it. We were greeted and served by very friendly and humorous waiters who are Italian, of course. I loved their Italian accents. We had tortellini in a creamy white wine mushroom sauce and a chilli king prawn wood fired pizza. Both were delicious. The pizza had quite a thin base and it was a bit floppy like in the movies. Quite different to what I’m used to but an interesting experience none the less. The creamy white wine sauce was absolutely delicious. Because we’d gone after work and got there around 6pm, we just managed to get a table. By the time we left it was packed with a long line for takeaway and about another 15 people sitting outside waiting for a table. Certainly a very enjoyable Italian restaurant from my point of view. A work mate tells me just down the road is a place called Spagie’s which is just as popular and tasty.

Verdict: Delicious offering of Italian cuisine – pasta or pizza, take your pick. I’d definitely recommend a visit here.

Restaurant Rating System

It's subjective but I base my reviews on 4 key areas:

Price: Bargain > Reasonable > Moderately Expensive > Expensive
Taste: Poor > Average > Great > Delicious
Value: Poor > Good > Reasonable > Excellent
Recommendation: Eat At Home Instead > Try Once If You Want But Not Worth Visiting Again > Worth Visiting > Recommend > Highly Recommend

The final recommendation will consider the price, taste and value. Value will be based on price and other factors like service and serving size.
