Cuisine: Pancakes
Location: Perth CBD, Carillon City Arcade
I have a more recent food review of Pancakes At The Carillon.
Another team lunch rolled by and it was decided to enjoy some pancakes, so to the Carillon we went. Apart from crepes and pancakes, there are other offerings on the menu like burgers, nachos, and steaks. We all started with entrée serves from the main menu section except for one member who opted for the burger. I went for the Mexicana which was delicious and did not disappoint carrying on from my earlier positive experience when I visited in March. After thoroughly enjoying my lunch, on to dessert and there’s just too much to choose from. I finally opted for the Chocolate Jewels. Out came two fluffy chocolate pancakes with strawberries and ice cream. Looking at the others dessert I was a little disappointed that there was no sauce so I asked the waiter if I could still opt for the rich hot chocolate sauce he had offered when ordering. I was in luck and poured the rich chocolate sauce all over and tucked into a wonderful meal. It’s like chocolate heaven and I enjoyed every bit of it. It is quite an effort to finish this but I don’t like to see such delicious food go to the waste. Unfortunately, while the other members enjoyed their desserts, they were too full to get through even half of their desserts, except for one member who polished off their waffle, cream and maple syrup. I’d suggest that they need to offer an entrée serve of the dessert because you’d need quite an appetite to finish all of your dessert comfortably. The dessert serves are very generous. A lot of unfinished food must be going in the bin possibly.
