Cuisine: Steak, American
Location: Perth CBD
I’ve seen on the US sitcoms characters carrying on about how good ribs are. I never really got what they were on about. Aside from that, I also saw a TV show, possibly SBS’s Food Safari, with the USA theme and ribs were showcased. They looked really good so I did a search and had come across Tony Roma’s. I asked a few people at work about this place and they recommended it. Fortunately, as part of a team lunch we went to Tony Roma’s.
One look at the menu and you feel like a kid in a candy shop! There’s so much to choose from that you want it all. I decided to settle on the original baby backed ribs with coleslaw and fries. There’s a choice of sides apart from the coleslaw which comes standard with your meal. Apart from that, you can always order other sides too. Out came the ribs and they were tender and delicious. Tony Roma’s original BBQ sauce really makes the difference! The coleslaw was fresh and tasty and the chips were good too. I also eyed the dessert menu and went with the chocolate avalanche. Let me warn you, the picture isn’t to scale and out comes a large glass with the large dessert in it. I got a lot of jealous looks and offers to share but it was all mine to enjoy. Pretty good dessert but nothing special.
I really enjoyed the ribs and would like to come back to try the other offerings such as steaks, hamburgers, seafood, wings, mozzarella sticks and potato skins.
Food Review Summary
Verdict: Finger licking good! Really tender pork with a delicious sauce. Given there are bones, don’t let the size fool you as to how large it is. There is a decent amount of meat with the regular serving. Certainly would like to visit again.
Price: Moderately Expensive
