Sarpino’s Pizzeria Perth

Cuisine: Italian – Pizza
Location: Perth CBD

Note: Has now closed and moved across the road to Raines Square

This is one of the new eateries I spied on my visit to the new food court above the underground train station on Murray St and William St. The food court and other shops are located at one40william. Upon reflection, I actually visited this place in one of the food courts in Singapore. The pizza’s there were much larger and you could pick slices from different pizzas. Here at the Perth store, you have to order a full pizza but there is many to choose from and the menu on the website doesn’t reflect what’s on offer. There’s also a dessert pizza which has chocolate! I wonder what that’s like? There are also other stores around Perth too so you don’t have to head to the CBD.

I ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza which had been prepared earlier and was in the warming cabinet on display with other pizzas. The pizza was taken out, sliced and presented in an open box. The pizza was delicious with a generous amount of toppings giving it a colourful look. The BBQ sauce was just enough and not too sweet. Lots of mozzarella as each bite left that cheese string that follows between the pizza and your bite. The size was generous and could have been a bit smaller but I ate the lot anyway. I thought the pizza was nice and moist and I enjoyed the ham, bacon, juicy tomatoes and capsicum.

Verdict: For $11.50, I was very satisfied with my pizza and would recommend a visit here. All pizzas are different. For a cheaper price, one could head down to Domino’s, or for a similar price you could pick up a couple of slices at Delisio at enex100 or Delizioso Cafe at Carillon City. Domino’s is typical fast food whereas at the other pizza by the slice stores, you can get a whole new pizza experience.

Sarpino’s Pizza at Midland Gate shopping centre has exceptionally BAD service. Unless you are over 180cm tall and your head reaches over the VERY TALL counter, you are ignored. This is the THIRD time where other customers arrive to be served AFTER me and get served FIRST because they are taller. CANNOT COMMENT ON QUALITY OF PIZZAS BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GET SERVED ANDF BY THE TIME THEY BOTHER, THE PIZZA I WANTED HAS BEEN SOLD.

I am currently involved with many festivals around WA and have contact lists which contain THOUSANDS of names. I am sending a copy of this to them all.

      Hi Rowan

I hate bad service and especially what you’ve described. I’m not sure of the age of the staff, but it happens a lot amongst young staff. They need a lot more awareness and need to understand what a queue is.
If you are at another location and see Sarpino’s, it’s worth trying their pizza.
