Icey Ice - Choco Waffles

Icey Ice – Choco Waffles

Cuisine: Dessert
Location: Northbridge (& other locations)

I was catching up with friends for dinner and stopped by Tak Chee around 7pm. I thought a booking was made but in the absence of one, we were fortunate to get a table after a short wait. I ordered Combination Kway Teow which was delicious. Lovely soft rice noodles, silk texture, excellent flavour. Great meal for just $12.

Next, we headed down the street to Icey Ice. First time vist for me. They serve all kinds of stuff – ice chendol type drinks, ice drinks with jelly, coconut milk, ice milk, crepes, and even waffles. I love waffles so I ordered the Choco Waffles – waffles with chocolate ice cream, cream, banana, and chocolate sauce. The waffles were really thick and had great depth and oh so delicious with the ice cream, cream, bananas and chocolate sauce. A real treat. The waffles, while excellent, are still short of that served at Superstar Waffles. I also had a mocha ice milk drink which was also tasty. Certainly worth a visit if you need something to satisfy your sweet tooth. Enjoyable night out.

Restaurant Rating System

It's subjective but I base my reviews on 4 key areas:

Price: Bargain > Reasonable > Moderately Expensive > Expensive
Taste: Poor > Average > Great > Delicious
Value: Poor > Good > Reasonable > Excellent
Recommendation: Eat At Home Instead > Try Once If You Want But Not Worth Visiting Again > Worth Visiting > Recommend > Highly Recommend

The final recommendation will consider the price, taste and value. Value will be based on price and other factors like service and serving size.
