Twilight Hawkers Markets is back for another year! The great thing about the Twilight Hawkers Markets in Forrest Chase is being able to try different cultures cuisines. I was interested to see a Hungarian stall so decided to check out what Rareflower had to offer.

Twilight Hawkers Markets – Rareflower Food Truck: Dodolle

Twilight Hawkers Markets - Rareflower: Dodolle

I chose dodolle, traditional Hungarian fried potato dumplings, which come in different varieties. I chose the crispy bacon version which also comes with sour cream. The bacon is a tad salty and overpowers the delicious soft fried dumplings, but the sour cream helps balance things out. It’s a really interesting and very filling dish that is really tasty. Hopefully the weather will improve but there were a fair few people like me in attendance. A bit of rain is not going to dent my appetite nor enthusiasm for seeing what’s on offer. It’s an event like this which sees new businesses introduced like Rareflower which are making their first time appearance.

Twilight hawkers markets are open every Friday till 28 April 2017, so make sure you head down to Forrest Chase between 4:30-9:30pm to sample some cuisines from various cultures. It’s generally cash only and remember that these are not necessarily professional kitchens, you might need to have some patience while your meal is prepared, especially if there are long queues, so get in early and enjoy.
