Best of Perth’s Best Restaurants – 2016

Another year has passed by and hopefully it was a great year for you. It’s been a year of visiting so many of Perth’s restaurants and eating some really delicious food. I thought it would be worthwhile to pick some favourites from what I’ve experienced thus far. This post is a follow up to last year’s list, Best of Perth’s Best Restaurant’s – 2015, updated with new discoveries, if any, from 2016.

Best Places in Japan
Pretty much anywhere! Everything I ate was delicious. As the restaurants are written in Japanese it’s difficult to locate some of the restaurants, but below are a few of note which are definitely worth checking out:
Kyoto – this place blew me away in terms of a degustation – Obanzai Mizumi
Nagoya – Yabaton
Hiroshima – Mitchan Sohonten Hatchobori
Nikko – Izakiya Hanamusubi

Best Places in South Korea
Seoul – Jokbal, a specialty – Ddungddungi Halmeoni Jib Restaurant

Best Places in Hong Kong
Hong Kong is known for it’s food so you can’t go wrong. Below are a few places worth a visit.
Roast Goose – Macau restaurant
Noodle Soup – Tsim Chai Kee Noodle
Hong Kong Style French Toast – Lan Fong Yuen which is located at Shop 304D, Shun Tak Centre, 168-200 Connaught Road Central, Sheung Wan

Best Places in Taipei, Taiwan
Dumplings – Din Tai Fung
Any number of 20ish night street markets – Shiliin Night Markets, Raohe Street Tourist Night Market
Beef noodle soup – Tao-Yuan-Street Beef Noodle Shop

Best Places in China
Tasty food abounds. As the restaurants are not written in English it’s difficult to locate some of the restaurants. Street food where lots of locals are is a good starting point.
